High School Comedy
Comedy is one of the most common genre nowadays,
This type of genre could let audience feel relax and happy. Further more, High School Comedy add in some youth element, to make this genre be a kind of daily life record.

The story is about a boy that come to school just on time (really hurry up) and sit on his chair, but unfortuntly forgot to bring his homework.
The cut we are using in this video are just straight cut. For the camera technique, we uses bit establishment shot on the first few seconds of the video.
TALK ABOUT THIS
As the director of this project, we wanted to demonstrate a atomsphere of absurb and burlesque, which might been further developed in future and in our following other projects.
As the acadamic year begins, we decided to chose comedy as our theme this year, we specifically focus on the story telling with in verious shots.

for the first version of this story board, I do a quite rough one, while later on danny
enhanced some new ones.
SHOT LIST & DEVELOPMENT

We shot a lot of dynamic blurry shots before the entire plot of the short film officially began, These slightly abstract shots are meant to showcase the busy school life. In terms of plot, they tell the story of register time passing and everyone rushing to prepare for class, while the protagonist hurriedly enters.

We also used some dynamic blur and some chase shots for these protagonist shots, with the aim of creating a scene where the protagonist is running to school in a hurry, attempting to create an atmosphere where the protagonist is in a hurry. And the camera moves slowly, which better highlights the protagonist's demeanor.

Finally, the protagonist arrived in the classroom, exhausted both physically and mentally, and lay down on the chair in such a casual way.

There is more than one storyline in the entire story, and from the fragmented shots, it can be inferred that the protagonist may be in a hurry. From the subsequent lines and actor interactions, the general idea of the story can be roughly understood.

Arriving at the second storyline, we once again used close up on object, and this time we wanted to elaborate on the protagonist's gradual lack of composure and incredible forgetting to bring homework. So we filmed some scenes where the protagonist kept taking out textbooks from their backpacks.

This series of actions also alarmed the students around them, who all turned their heads to see what the protagonist was doing. This is actually a process of atmosphere contrast, which will make the protagonist's situation even more awkward.

This is the perspective inside the backpack, and we also got inspiration from some classic movies. Generally, such shots have a sense of humor, and our shooting equipment also has limitations, so the quality and effects of the shots are not very good, but they unexpectedly match the protagonist's hasty settings.

Story line telling: We stayed up late last night to finish our homework together, so this time the protagonist confidently came to class and gave his friend a thumbs up, only to find out that he didn't bring it. So his friend showed a slightly sarcastic and incredulous expression.

Finally, there is a suffocating ending for the protagonist.
FINAL OUTCOME ↑
In this small clip, it still reflects the immaturity of our technology, such as unclear dubbing, slightly rough visuals without color adjustment, and the audience may not be very clear about what we want to express. But as a short film for students to watch, it still contains some comedy elements.
